There is only the fine line of "interpretation" between a symbolic sacrifice, and a real one. The Aztecs, and the Catholics essentially believed in the same thing. The former may have taken pride in doing what to us seems horrific, while they may have feel that what Catholics do is not worthy, and not even a laughable matter. Meanwhile what really is horrific, is that we still believe (in the first place) that sacrifice (in second place) is a way to divinity. The above example corresponds to two faces of the same coin, and the reality may be potentially different, and completely irrelevant to either acts. The reason sacrifice is a "non sequitur" is that it implies a component of "overdoing it", in, and on itself. Yes, a compromise has to be made to accomplish anything that we intend to attain, and it should be perfectly balanced to that which we want is. Going over, or going under in doing it will have consequences one way or another. Balance in our everyday actions is the key. Balance in our everyday actions is the key. BALANCE IN OUR EVERYDAY ACTIONS IS THE KEY!
