Theres a family in Australia who have made their house so much more energy efficient that it has reduced their electricity consumption by 90%….. damnthematrix.wordpress/2012/11/21/more-power-of-energy-efficiency/ This means that their PVs now generate so much more excess electricity (than a conventional house with the same amount of solar on the roof) that they make an income from their PV. And linked with their other reductions in costs of living (food, water…), this means they no longer have to work. So they don’t drive to work, saving even more money. It’s all a matter of choices really. If you keep your savings instead of spending them on affluence, you no longer are part of the trap….
