Theres something special about rainy Saturday mornings. You see, this has been a tough week with work deadlines and decisions that I am facing. This morning I just feel numb! I hate change! I hate making decisions because I have made a few bad choices during my life and paid the consequences for those bad choices. So it scares me when I have to face something head-on - what if I make the wrong choice. Now dont get all holy on me - we are all human and everything isnt always peachy! So I am literally sitting here listening! Not to the everyday sounds - much deeper! Oh I hear the cars as they rattle down Highway 5, the hummingbirds fighting with exquisite force even in their small statutes, the Bassett calling out to me with his unending, pleading bark, the hum of the a/c as it kicks on to cool the house, the beautiful sound of windchimes letting the wind play the music, and the birds singing in so many different styles of chirping - but Im going deeper! Im listening for the whisperings. I need an answer that only comes from a still small voice that cant be heard unless you listen past the noise! A mentor of mine gave me this advice a few weeks ago - Listen for the Whisperings - you have the ear to hear! I need an answer that only HE can give! So today, Im listening!!!!!
