It was written during the bombing and sanctioning of Iraq which resulted in the deaths of over a half million children, the ongoing rape of Congo’s natural resources, the ‘selection’ of Bush for POTUS (my god!), soaring oil prices, ongoing mass incarceration of Afrikan men and people struggling to recover from a series of economic depressions.
