Things to do before you have children. 1. Find a 14/15 year old in your neighborhood that can babysit, preferably within walking distance of your house. If said 14/15 yr old is not found, find the youngest 16 yr old with access to a car that is willing to babysit for long hours. Dependability is otherwise useless unless you have bought a house in the same neighborhood as your parents. 2. Babyproof the house months in advance before having children. Thinking you will have the time or energy after the child is born to babyproof is out of the question once it arrives. 3. Complete all known house projects before the child arrives, do not try and attempt to complete a project while the child is here because they will make the task harder and take twice as long. 4. Join a wine club that delivers wine to your house on a monthly basis.
