This Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Parents we will be participating in the preseason tournament at Waukegan High School. SUNDAY, OCT. 20th, 2013 Waukegan High School Brookside Campus 2325 Brookside Ave. Waukegan, IL 60085 Weigh in: 6:30am-8:00am at Brookside Campus, no preregistration Wrestling Begins: Approximately 9:00am Cost: $20 Awards: Medals will be given 1st-4th Division/Match Length: 4 Man Round Robin, Block Weight 8 & under: (2)-1 1/2 min periods, 9/10: (2)-1 1/2 min periods, 11/12: (2)-1 1/2 min periods, 13/14: (2)-2 min periods, Frosh/Soph: (2)- 2 min periods Junior/Senior: (2)- 2 min periods Open: (2)-2 min periods There will be an estimated 10-15 sec break between each period for all divisions. Rules: • Wrestler will earn 1 point per takedown, and 2 points for a takedown to the back. • Clock will stop after every takedown or wrestling out of bounds. • If a wrestler has a 7 point lead on the opponent, it will be considered an automatic tech and the match will end. • If there is a tie at the end of the match, there will be a 1 min overtime period, first take down wins. If there is no takedown the winner will be determined by whoever got the first takedown of the match. • In the case of a scoreless match, a coin flip will determine wrestlers choice in a double leg restart position for a 30 sec sudden victory period. If there is still no takedown, opponents will switch positions every 30 sec until a takedown occurs. Concessions: Available throughout event/ No outside food or beverage will be allowed. We also understand and accept that the wrestler participates in the tournament at the wrestler’s own risk. We, wrestler and parent guardian and any and all assigns, agree and promise not to make any claims or bring any lawsuits for personal injury or death or property damage or any loss against Waukegan High School, which arises, directly or indirectly, out of the wrestler’s participation in the tournament.
