SCHOOLS New Orleans public and charter schools in all districts are closed Tuesday. New Orleans Catholic schools are closed Tuesday. Jefferson Parish public schools and administrative offices are closed Tuesday. Jefferson Parish Catholic schools are closed Tuesday. Atonement Lutheran School in Metairie will be closed on Tuesday. St. Tammany Parish public schools and district offices are closed Tuesday and Wednesday. St. Tammany Parish Catholic schools are closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Christ Episcopal School in Covington is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. St. Bernard Parish public schools are closed Tuesday. St. John the Baptist Parish public schools are closed Tuesday and Wednesday. St. Charles Parish public and Catholic schools are closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Plaquemines Parish public schools are closed Tuesday. COLLEGES University of New Orleans is closed Tuesday. Loyola University cancels Tuesday classes. Tulane University cancels classes for Tuesday. Delgado Community College is closed Tuesday. Southern University at New Orleans is closed Tuesday. Dillard University is closed Tuesday. Xavier University and the LSU Health Sciences Center classes are closed Tuesday. Our Lady of Holy Cross College is closed Tuesday. Nunez Community College is closed Tuesday. Northshore Technical Community College is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Southeastern Louisiana University is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Note: See all Baton Rouge college and university closings here. GOVERNMENT New Orleans City Hall is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. All Orleans Parish courts are closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Jefferson Parish government offices will be closed Tuesday. Jefferson Parish Katrina flood trial proceedings canceled Tuesday and Wednesday. St. Tammany Parish government offices and the parish courthouse are closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Covington City Hall is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Covington Mayor Mike Coopers community gathering scheduled for Wednesday morning has been postponed until Feb. 5. Mandeville City Hall is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Slidell city government offices will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Slidell City Council will push its meeting from Tuesday night to Thursday night. A Slidell community meeting between Walmart representatives and Slidell residents that was set for Wednesday night has been cancelled. The St. John the Baptist Parish Council meeting Tuesday, originally scheduled for 6:30 p.m., then pushed up to 9 a.m., has now been rescheduled for Friday (Jan. 31) at 10 a.m. St. Bernard Parish government offices are closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Plaquemines Parish government offices will be closed Tuesday. The Coastal Wetlands Planning Protection and Restoration Act Regional Planning Team meetings in Abbeville, Morgan City and New Orleans have been canceled and will be rescheduled. For more information, visit LaCoast.gov. The Senior Voters Caucus scheduled for Wednesday (Jan. 29) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Msgr. Gauthreaux Center, at 7300 Crowder Blvd. in New Orleans, has been canceled. OTHER The Tammany Trace is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Jefferson Parish libraries are closed Tuesday, as are Orleans, St. Bernard and St. Tammany parish libraries. Arc of Greater New Orleans and all of its facilities, including the Uptown Learning Center, will be closed on Tuesday. Arc has the following centers: Fontana Center, 925 S. Labarre Road., Metairie Wolfe Center, 5700 Loyola Ave., New Orleans Uptown Learning Center, 1771 Nashville Ave., New Orleans STEP, 333 Sala Ave., Westwego Hessmer Center, 3406 Hessmer Ave., Metairie Chalmette Community Center, 3700 Jean Lafitte Parkway, Chalmette Some New Orleans City Council election forums scheduled for Tuesday evening have been canceled. The District C seat forum in Algiers is expected to go on as scheduled. The VA has closed Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System clinics on Tuesday and Wednesday. The clinics will reopen Thursday for regularly scheduled appointments. All five of the Audubon Institute properties -- Audubon Zoo, Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium, Entergy IMAX Theatre and Audubon Park Golf Course -- will shut down on Tuesday.
