This article is from march 21st 2014. The Alexander company is the company that is running the remodel of the old younkers building. Could anyone in this scandal have done this out of anger. Just speculating. Here is the article: Former Alexander Co. worker, daughter charged with fraud ED TRELEVEN etreleven@madison, 608-252-6134 A former Alexander Co. worker allegedly created a fake company and used it to bill Alexander for phantom work and for materials used to build his own home, according to charges filed Thursday. Gregory A. Hunt, 57, of Prairie du Sac, was charged with 10 counts of theft by false representation, nine of them felonies, and three counts of fraudulent writing. He is accused of bilking the property management and development firm of nearly $100,000 using fake invoices from his phantom company and billing the firm an additional $60,000 in building materials for a home he was building, according to a criminal complaint filed in Dane County Circuit Court. Hunt’s daughter, Tiffany L. Wilson, 32, of Waukesha, is a co-defendant on nine of the counts of theft by false representation. The bank account of the fake company, called Floor-Tek, was in her name, according to the complaint. Hunt and Wilson both appeared in court Thursday and were released on signature bonds. According to the complaint: Alexander Co. officials contacted town of Madison police in June after they suspected that Hunt, who managed several of their buildings, was involved in criminal activity. The next month, they told police that they found Hunt had a fake company called Floor-Tek that was nothing more than a post office box. The company, Joseph Alexander told police, billed Alexander Co. for services that were similar to legitimate work being done by other firms at the company’s buildings, even though Floor-Tek did no actual work for Alexander. In 2012 and 2013, those billings totaled $99,145, although Floor-Tek’s bank account showed that between July 2009 and May 2013, Alexander Co. had written checks to Hunt and Floor-Tek totaling $387,800. The Alexander Co. also found that it was being charged for building materials for a home Hunt was building for himself on Highway 19 in rural Waunakee. A billing code had been added to invoices connecting the purchases to a property Alexander owns at 660 W. Washington Ave. One of the suppliers told police that Hunt had asked that all billing for the project go through Alexander Co. for tax reasons, which wasn’t questioned because Hunt was an authorized buyer for Alexander. Hunt declined to speak to police. But Wilson said her name was on the Floor-Tek bank account’s signature card because “it was something Dad and I decided to do.” Wilson
