This caught my attention: You are a young person who is very insignificant that even your area chief would not recognize you if he bumped into you in the market, leave alone Raila Odinga or any other ODM leader. While young people from other parts of the country are thinking big, growing their businesses, advancing their careers etc, you live a miserable, directionless life somewhere in Migori. Most of your days are spent discussing wealthy, influential politicians as you idle around with others like you smoking cheap cigarettes from the meager wages you earn from time to time, dressed in dirty clothes that have not been washed for days. Then the Head of State visits your county in a bid to fight malaria which is killing your mothers and children because some of them have a father or a husband like you who cannot afford to buy them mosquito nets. You take your idle mind to the Presidents function and because some politicians have realized how useless you are, they decide that the best thing you can be in this life is a hooligan for their own course and as expected the foolishness that dominates your life comes into play and you are there throwing your torn shoes to people who can afford a new pair of shoes everyday if they so wished and shouting ODM. What about ODM do you know or better still who in ODM cares whether you exist or not? Do you even have a voters card? Who cursed you young man? You will forever blame the government of the day for your backwardness, complaining that the government is supporting youth from other tribes and leaving you out. You will even blame God to some extent for your misfortunes, but truth is you are the one to blame for your miserable life and only you can redeem yourself from your stupidity! Truly truly I say to you, the greatest tragedy in life is not death, but life without a purpose!!
