This code book is law in Ohio and many states. As a general contractor I am required to follow these laws. I am not allowed access to these laws without buying them from the private, for profit, corporation that writes them. Can anyone tell me when procedural due process mandated me to buy a copy of the laws, from a private corporation, that I am required to follow. What ever happened to notice and hearing. No I am not, nor have ever been, in trouble for non-code-compliance. It just sickens me that private corporations own so many politicians that I am forced to buy their book of rules and comply with them or face fines.
