This could end up being a good meeting ..... East Anglian Reunion 2015 Unlimited National Bangers Sunday 9th August 2015 Spedeworth and Yarmouth Stadium are pleased to announce that a East Anglian Reunion meeting is scheduled at Yarmouth Stadium for 2015. The idea of the meeting is to get drivers from the pre 2000 era to have one last blast around the seaside oval. Whether it be to settle old scores or prove that you still have what it takes to be the best of them all, we would love to see you all there. We are looking at running the rules similar to that of the Jeff Woolford Memorial Meeting, in that there are certain restrictions to the rules and car usage in order to represent the racing style of the era. Obviously some aspects may be different such as modern safety measures so the build rules will be in line with the current National Banger specification apart from where specified below. Car Eligibility Any Unlimited/Over 1800cc can be raced except frogeye granadas, lexus and surpas. The principle is to keep it old skool with the drivers racing what they used in the 80s and 90s. More modern-ish cars such as the Volvo 240, 740 & 940, mk3 Granada, Jag XJ40 & Omega as well as any limo/hearse are allowed. Tyres Maximum size - 235 Minimum Profile - 55 Maximum Width - 50 Please call the Spedeworth office in regards to other tyres that you may like to use. Welding/Strengthening Welding is only permitted on the drivers door and MOT welding where necessary where areas of the original body is missing using no tin no thicker than the original metal on the car. If the car needs excessive welding to get to a race prep then please leave original metal visible so that the scrutineers can clearly see why the welding was needed. Corners plates are permitted but if welded must have a maximum of 3 x 1 inch tack welds on each side thus 6 x 1 inch tack welds on each corner plate. Engines Engine must remain as manufactured. I.E: if that car came with that engine. Therefore, if you pick up a 2l Granada, a 2.9 V6 Granada lump can be put in, but a 2.9 cannot be put in an Omega for example, as the car did not come with one. FORD > FORD JAGUAR > JAGUAR etc Cam belt engines may use a cam guard but these must be the same silhouette of the original and bolted to its original mountings with a maximum thickness of 6mm. Any drivers can book in via myself on 07712149317 or via the Spedeworth Office on 01252 322 920. Thank you.
