This genre thing... We live in a city that is handicapped by genre. It is truly an incredible musical city, and arguably the best in the state. But it is also crippled by a tragic label known as genre. Some of the most incredible songwriters sit right here in this little radius and go unknown because of that tragic stigma known as genre... Some of the most incredible songwriters that have ever laid pen to paper... Artististic brilliance... Troubadours... Storytellers... All tragically confined by the oppressive walls of genre... Folk, Americana, Roots, Country, Red Dirt, Blues, Streets, STORYTELLERs, Spurs, Rock, comedy, hip hop... etc... Some of the greatest ever are right here... Poetically bleeding... poetically bleeding............ And its tragic that they rarely are heard because of oppressive musical walls... Vocalists... Songwriters... Lyricists... Poets... Storytellers... Harmonists... Prophets... ...All can be found any day of the week, somewhere where the so called experts usually arent... The road less traveled.........
