This group is for the acknowledgment and address that currently within the United States of America, as in Germany during the 1930s, there is a very real and present danger to the true faith of God in Christ as delivered to us by the fathers based on the plain literal doctrines of the Holy Scriptures. These threats are rooted in the venomous guile of the serpent to Eve, Did God really say? (Gen. 3:1). There comes a time in every generation that the true faith (see Jude), and faith in that truth, must be identified, recognized, and made clearly manifest (John 1:1-18). That time for the Church in America is now. We must not turn a blind eye to the reality that the faith once for all delivered to the saints (Jude 1:3) is under constant attack and extreme pressure to compromise with current social norms being developed, supported, and propagated by our popular culture, media, government, and even certain segments of those who claim to follow Christ Jesus (Jude 1:4). Our situation at this point is nearly identical, and every bit as dire, as that of the Confessing Church of Germany in 1933 as they stared down the ominous threat of Hitlers nazification of the German Church. Our response must be as bold, and our resolve to defend and champion the truth of the Word of God, as personified in the person and purpose of Jesus Christ (John 1:1,14), must be as passionate and sacrificial as that of the German Confessing Church. I have confident expectation in God, and pray that we may, brethren, as did the great German men such as Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Karl Barth, stand united in the face of the adversities and threatenings that are to come as we link arms and march forward into the battle; waving the banner of truth amidst a culture of lies (Matt. 5:13-16), shining forth the light of life to a people sitting and dwelling in darkness (Matt. 4:16). We need not address every single heresy outright, but rather let us simply put forth the truth of the Holy Word of God as the touchstone (G931) against which all human belief and behavior must be struck (Luke 20:18), and let us reveal the watermarks of the true faith of Christ that those who wish to test the spirits (1Jn. 4:1) may gauge the genuineness of our faith (1Pe. 1:7) as opposed to the counterfeit elements seeping into the ark of saving faith in Christ alone, based on Scripture alone, through the grace of God alone.
