This has been a crazy overwhelming couple weeks, 1st my bud Jed Portman does a couple articles on me in Garden and Gun, I make it onto National Televison with Bizarre Foods, I find out that Southern Living will be doing an article on me, and now Im nominated for an Elby award here in town. Thank you to all my friends and family for all the support, it means a ton. I gotta single out a few of them, obviously my wife Katie Milton, Mom, Dad, and brother Eric Milton, Jason Alley and Christopher Chandler or being great friends, mentors and bosses, Kendra Bailey Morris for being a a constant shoulder, my crew at comfort, and lastly Ronni Lundy, Sean Brock, and Jon Egerton. The fact that we lost Jon this week was a huge blow to the Southern Food Community. Those last three have served as constant inspiration and with out them I would never have found the ability to cook what I love and to honor my heritage. I knoe this is very sappy and theres a lot of people I didnt mention, but i am very blessed to have so many great people in my life and I couldnt accomplish any thing without them. P.s. I didnt not thank any English teachers for fear of them seeing all my run-on sentences.
