This is Evangelist Bruce Haller with the H.O.P.E. Writings and Audio (IFBKJV)… The title of today’s message is: “Telling God’s people only what to do and not do tends to feed the self-righteous, aspect of the sin nature…” Let us pray: Pray for understanding through the Spirit, application by faith unto the LORD Jesus Christ, and that God will be spiritually, scripturally and supernaturally manifested in and through your heart with the resurrection, righteousness, and revelation of the LORD Jesus Christ in and through you regarding the Scriptures before us today… “Telling God’s people only what to do and not do tends to feed the self-righteous, aspect of the sin nature…” Telling God’s people only what to do and not to do, even by using the Scriptures (the Old and New Testaments), tends to feed the self-righteous, aspect of the sin nature; whereas, telling God’s people how to let the LORD Jesus Christ do it in and through them, by faith, feeds the spirit and the soul unto eternal life and earthly godliness… Telling God’s people only what to do and not do, even by using the Scriptures (the Old and New Testaments), tends to feed the self-righteous, aspect of the sin nature, which desires to yield to the letter of the law that kills spiritually… Telling God’s people how to let the LORD Jesus Christ do it in and through them, by faith, feeds the spirit and the soul unto eternal life and earthly godliness, by the believer learning to reckon himself crucified with Christ and now alive unto sovereign God, by faith, that yields to the Savior LORD Jesus Christ living His resurrection, righteousness, and revelation in and through the believer, who is yielding, by faith, to the Spirit and the Scriptures unto the manifestation Savior LORD Jesus Christ and Sovereign God the Father... 2Corinthians 3:6 The Apostle Paul wrote: Who (God) also hath made us able ministers of the new testament (Our ministry is the appointment of the LORD.); not of the letter (This seems to reference the Old Testament.), but of the spirit (The New Testament applied, by faith, is the believer’s inward spiritual , scriptural, and supernatural experience of intimacy with sovereign God and the Savior LORD Jesus Christ.): for the letter killeth (The failure to obey the Law of the Old Testament explicatively results in the consequences of such, which is the condemnation of the Law unto death or spiritual separation from God forever.), but the spirit giveth life (Receiving, by faith, the essence of the New Testament and its revelation of the Savior LORD Jesus Christ gives the believer eternal life, which begins the moment one is saved by believing upon the LORD Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for our sins and arose from the grave to give all who will receive Him, as Savior, God, and LORD: eternal life, the forgiveness of sins, and newness of life.)…. 2Corinthans 3:13-16 (13) And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: (14) But their minds were (spiritually) blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. (15) But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. (16) Nevertheless when it (Contextually, “it” is referencing the “heart” in verse 15.) shall turn to the Lord, the vail (spiritual blindness) shall be taken away. (If the Word of God is presented or received as the dictate of God that must be obeyed in one’s own self-effort or self-righteousness it will not have the true spiritual, scriptural, or supernatural life giving effect upon the believer’s heart. For with the heart man believes unto LORD Jesus Christ’s imparted righteousness. The heart is the regenerated spirit and soul that is expressed through the intellect, emotions, and will of the believer, by faith, and not of works, which yields to the manifestation of the resurrection, righteousness, and revelation of the LORD Jesus Christ, according to Spirit and the Scriptures, resulting in the manifestation of Sovereign God’s spiritual, scriptural, and supernatural manifestation. Man is to believe unto God’s righteousness being imparted to them that receives the LORD Jesus Christ, by faith, for salvation, sanctification, and all spiritual, scriptural, and supernatural realities of God, not of the their own self-effort or self-righteousness that seeks to keep the letter of the Scriptures through the works of one’s religious flesh.) 2Corinthians 3:17-18 (17) Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (This is liberty not to sin and to resist Satan and the solicitations of the world. It is not liberty to do that which right in one’s own sinful or self-righteous eyes.). (18) But we all (believers), with open face beholding as in a glass (This is the mirror of God’s Word, the Bible.) the glory (the spiritual, scriptural, and supernatural manifestation) of the Lord (Jesus Christ), are changed (spiritually, scripturally, and supernaturally transformed) into the same image (This is the very person of the resurrected LORD Jesus Christ.) from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord (This seems to indicate the progressive, perpetual, and profound transformation of the believer through the Spirit and the Scripture into the manifestation of resurrection, righteousness, and revelation of the LORD Jesus Christ in and through the believer, by faith.). As we have received the LORD Jesus Christ for salvation, by grace, through faith, we are to receive Him also by grace, through faith, to work in and through us His sanctification, separation, and service. To receive the Scriptures in the religious self-effort and self-righteousness is to frustrate the grace of God, which can only be experienced, by faith, through the Spirit. We must examine hearts prayerfully before God to spiritually and scripturally discern if we are seeking to live for the LORD Jesus Christ in the works of self-effort and self-righteousness or are we yielding to Him, by grace, through faith; whereas, He is manifesting His resurrection, righteousness, and revelation in and through us, for the glory of sovereign God, through the Spirit, in accordance to absolute authority of the Scriptures...
