This is Tweek. He had a sore on the side of his face under his ear that looked like an infected place...i didnt think much of it. It started to grow and got pretty big. I took him to the doctor to get the pus drained from the growth. The doctor thought it was just an infection but she opened the growth and found cancer cells in it. She got as much out of it as she could. When she called to tell me the bad news she recommended putting him down and not even waking him back up. I knew he had some life left in him and that he wasnt in pain so I told her no. He used to be super skittish, but since he had the surgery he has been sweet. He used to flop around and try to escape if you picked him up, but now the poor guy just goes limp. He has scratched his face where the tumor is so badly that it bleeds quite a bit at times. Anyway, what happened is that I walked up to Tweek and started talking to him and he hissed at me (he NEVER hisses a me) and when I picked him up to give him treats, he squirmed and scratched me. Is it possible his tumor has attacked his brain? It would be a much easier decision putting him down if something else happened. Its still going to be the biggest decision I have had to make so far in my lifetime.
