This is a message I got from Prof Abdelwahed in Gaza: Is it a ceasefire after 29 days of Israeli air raids, artillery shelling and naval shelling? Yes, it is. That time was a really harsh time on all Gaza Strip civilians by all means! Everyday was expected to be the last day in life! Today, people took to the streets; they are sad, angry, depressed, and feeling real pain. Destruction is almost everywhere! With every hour, death toll still accumulates with more dead bodies taken out from under rubble of demolished buildings, so many of it were flattened to the floor. More orphans, more widowed, more single mothers or fathers! Add to this the large number of logistic problems for those who have been attempting as from the morning to go back to where they used to live, and to accommodate themselves in a way or another! This situation includes dozens of thousands of displaced people all over Gaza Strip. We have been without electricity for more than 105 hours. We get power from a small generator run by fuel. Water supply is another logistic problem! A call for all friends to send in aid and build political pressure. #savegaza
