This is a partial vent/wondering if anyone else has ever had this happen: I got a call from the doctors office today. They are trying to file a claim to Soonercare for Ashlee. They are showing she is no longer on Soonercare because some lady named Megan Griego is covering Ashlee under private insurance. I am assuming this person is now married to the genetic DNA donor who is court ordered to provide insurance (he is also ordered to pay child support, but we wont get in to that). I have no idea who she is and she is providing private insurance for our (our meaning Brent and myself) daughter. The issue is this, and it has been this for years...since I am not on genetic DNA donor or whoever this is that is providing the insurances plan, I have been told over and over that I am not legally able to access the information to give to doctors offices to cover Ashlee. So.....there is someone out there that I have no clue who they are, they are apparently paying for health insurance for my daughter, and even though Brent and I have been her only parents for 17 years we are denied access to the insurance, so basically this person is paying for no reason. I cant wrap my brain around it. There happened to be a sympathetic worker with the last insurance company she was covered with and they told me I could not have the information but I received it in the mail 4 days later. Maybe when Ashlee is the first female president she can get some laws changed to where this whole stupid thing can make some sense. Before I close the vent/wondering I will say if anyone in Amarillo (Im guessing thats where it is) knows this Megan person, you might let her know shes wasting her money...it would really help if I could have access to my at least my kids part. Ugh and grrrr.
