His mom is a single mom working for only R4500 a month and she have expenses like rent, bus fair for Ayden to school, nappies and not even to talk about food. He requires specialized seating as he requires trunk support and a special cushion in order to correct his spinal deviation and improve his sitting posture. The focus point backrest allows us to order the exact height and support that he requires and we will be able to build up the backrest in the areas required to give him the support he needs. A motorized wheelchair will open the world up for this little boy as it would allow him to be independent in his mobility for the first time in his life as he is unable to propel a manual chair and is fully dependent on others. With the pacer power chair we are able to make the chair according to the specs required which includes tilt in space and this is important in Aiden’s case as it improves visual function and will encourage him to lift his head. The lap tray is a valuable accessory as it gives him support for his upper limbs and encourages functional tasks.
