This is not an experiment. African American people are not an experiment,” What do you think about Whole Foods building a store in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Chicago? Personally, Im asking myself what the ultimate goal is for WF to disrupt an entire neighborhood? Given that they have a goal of getting to 1,200 stores is this just part of that plan? Clearly they wont get to that number by just targeting rich white neighborhoods. Do they plan on lowering their prices or will they be selling lower quality food? That would be unfair. Is this a plan to create jobs? That would be awesome. Or maybe educating people about nutrition and healthy cooking who dont have access to resources? Because the truth is, a mother of five children will any day spend $5 to buy 4 loaves of bread then $3 on one loaf of sprouted Ezekial. Im a bit skeptical of this.
