This is the old Covenant Luke 1:68-79 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life. And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. The new Covenant is a better covenant and has better promises. God kept his promise with Israel . He told them he would do all the things in his covenant for those that obeyed him. They turned from him and followed the commandments and Doctrines of men. What they called the Law had been so redefined and perverted that Jesus referred to it as their law not Gods Law. John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? They were cursed just as God promised and were under a government that hated them. Their enemies ruled over them, they were taxed into poverty. Their sons and daughters were destroyed by Rome and enslaved. The Romans desecrated their temple and the altar of God. All because they broke the covenant of God. Are you breaking the New testament Covenant? How can you know if you dont even know what it is. We have a New Covenant with better promises. God promised Israel that he would heal them and not put the diseases on them that he put on the heathens. When Jesus came into the world all of Israel was filled with sickness and disease. He healed them because the new covenant made a way to forgive them for breaking the first Covenant. Christians are living under a broken covenant and that is why God is not keeping his promise of a better covenant. God has promised in his word to renew you like the Eagle in the old Covenant. But we have a better promise in the new covenant. Why dont you experience it? Because you do not keep the word of Jesus nor do you believe in the promises of This new Covenant. No, you spend your time just like the Jews did finding lawyers to redefine what was in Gods word so they could live any way they wanted. You love the those TV evangelist who twist the words of Jesus and make you believe you will receive the blessings of God. But they never tell you you cant have them unless you are in the Covenant of Jesus. And you are not in the covenant unless you have the Holy Spirit. And you will never have the Holy Spirit until you obey the Gospel. Acts 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. Romans 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. Are your sins taken away? Unless you repent of them and confess that they are sins instead of trying to justify them they will never be taken away. You will have to live under a curse just like the Jews. You will have a president that will tax you into poverty and desecrate everything that has to do with God. He will kill your children and enslave them. God made a way for you to live in this new Covenant and you have to repent be baptized in Jesus name for the remission of your sins and he will give you the Holy Spirit of promise. Then you must be faithful to walk in the Spirit and overcome and endure to the end.
