This is what i have been saying. The Government can and will never encourage harmony in the health sector. Only those within the sector can find lasting solution to their problems. Imagine if its a struggle between the Govt and NMA/JOHESU together. Continue the division of NMA and JOHESU and also find a way of dividing the Docs further. Believe me if you think there will be no Drs to take up the offer then you are yet to know the average mind of a Nigerian. How can a decision like this be taken? and it should not be celebration for my JOHESU guys, though the NARD has been the most stubborn arm of NMA, but remember they are here for them today this way, tomorrow they will come for you same way. At this challenging times of Ebola?. Well i have said my own. If we think the answer lies in continuation of the supremacy or ego fight then we should be ready to face clueless decisions like this. The issues we heard about the Government handling some of this Teaching Hospital facilities to the Military is real guys. I have my source in the military. In fact the Military has been ordered to employ as many Drs as possible within a very short time. The army has just shortlisted a whooping sum of 73 Drs for interview and believe me almost all will be taken. Their screening starts on the 24th. Some of their consultants that are proceeding on retirement have been told to stay and those retired are to be re engaged by the military. The Navy and Air force will soon bring out an advertisement for similar positions. Believe me the targets are just the Teaching Hospitals for now because they have advised the clueless one that the root of all this disharmony is from there. Time for those who are ready for change to sit down and iron out our differences, realize what is best for the health sector and also realize that the political Govt can never be your friend. Force this decisions among our members who are recalcitrant and also present our joint demand to the Govt. Can they ever contemplate a sack of NMA/JOHESU together without bringing down the Govt within a week?
