This is what winter should be like, just dumping out there tonight! A few inches of snow last night and today, with snowfall and wind really ramping up tonight. Started out with heavier snow, but making the transition to colder snow. 23° at 1:15am. Lots of fresh snow on the mountain tomorrow, hope you are already here to enjoy it. Tonight groomed lower Stillwater rd, over Gravel mtn, and up Pony Park trail. Went around the Figure-8 of upper Kawuneeche, North Supply Loop and and the Shortcuts. Groomed middle Kawunneche, and North and South Supply to the forest border. Back to Idleglen on lower Kawuneeche. Lots of wind out there blowing the snow around. Video is from the Cat Shack, which is lower elevation then Idleglen parking lot. Check avalanche danger before heading out tomorrow, expect high danger.
