This keeps happening with an unbelievable frequency: police shooting and killing or beating to death innocent men, men with their hands cuffed behind their backs, men lying on the ground, men with hands in the air, boys running away from police being shot in the back, women driving away from police being shot at their car, homeless people being beat to death, people beat and killed in prison, on the streets, in their cars. I had at one time decided to write about such incidents when they happened, such as a young unarmed man from Chechnya being shot 7 times including one in the back of his head by FBI agents without even an explanation and without anyone filing being charged or even disciplined, or the young man in Oakland, CA who got shot in the head with his hands cuffed, or the homeless man who got beat to death in Fullerton, CA, or the one in Denver, CO, or in TX or in NY, etc. then, I realized I couldnt keep up. On average, there is one person killed by police every single day, non-stop. Is this the kind of society we want to live in? Now, Im going to be told: leave if you dont like it! We had a Civil Rights movement that was cut short. We desperately need to revive it and we need it NOW!
