This may open up a whole can of worms, but WHATS YOUR OPINION on this incident that happened to me earlier today: 3 Fellow agents and I had just finished touring some homes in Prairie View Acres off Dean Soloman. I got on I49 at the Porter Rd. exit. I was driving in the outside lane with NO construction, No mowers on my right side (just the tree line) and very little traffic on the road. Within 1/2 mile of entering I49, we all hear what sounds like a gun shot. It hit the front passenger window near the mirror. Within seconds, there was another loud gun shot like sound and window shatters spewing my passenger with glass. At that point, the road begins its crazy curving with the construction so I cant pull over. Once I get the the Weddington exit, Im able to safely pull over and check for injuries and call 911. Since this happened on I49, Fayetteville police pass me off to the State Troopers. Here is where I need your thoughts and opinions: After waiting for more than 20 minutes for the State Boys to show up, I receive a call from No Caller ID Available. It was the state trooper letting me know that they havent had any other incidents in that area reported so they wouldnt be coming to investigate. However, they would email me a form I could fill out along with pictures I had to take myself. Then, if I needed it, they would send me the report back for my insurance company.
