This prayer.. Im not sure where it came from but I wrote it in my bible. It has gotten me through some tough times. I hope it helps. God of peace, we long to be more like You in our everyday life. But we are so different. You are calm and patient; we are often in a hurry, irritable. You are free from worry; we are frequently in its grip. You are stable, reliable, and gracious; we ricochet from peace to panic. You are infinitely wise, always right; we wrestle daily with the plague of imperfection. But we are your children, valuable to You because we are in your son Jesus Christ. We thank you for not pushing us away when we have failed and fallen. We are also grateful that you deal with us in grace when we run ahead instead of wait, when we doubt instead of trust. You are kind and forgiving... And we love you for it. Take away the anxiety, stress, and depression that rob our peace. The things we have confessed to you. In their place give us renewed hope and a fresh beginning. Please Father do that now. We ask these things in a simple yet sincere faith. Amen
