This recording was made for my book Classic American Folk Blues Themes, which Mel Bay reissued at some point under the name Blues 101. As the original titles indicates, a lot of the tunes are standard folk blues tunes, which I arranged specifically to teach various fingerpicking techniques. It isnt about traditional playing so much as ways to develop from that base. I also taught this arrangement on taped and video lessons, all of which Mel Bay carries (I think they still do, anyway).
