This time of year is my favorite, and as we are slowly but surely moving into the season of thankfulness, I couldnt help but think of the what seems to be countless numbers of people waiting at Ooltewah High School today to be seen in one of the free medical, dental, etc., clinics. Someone said that people were already there very early yesterday, waiting for this morning, hoping to receive assistance. When the company that I worked for closed some time ago, we too were without health insurance for quite a while. Thankfully, we have it once again, but due to the high cost of out of pocket care, so many go without what they need. God has always taken care of us, and the kids have a wonderful doctor who has taken care of them too. Im proud of Caleb today, and thankful for Ooltewah Highs leadership class that has provided him with an opportunity to volunteer with these wonderful people in just a few minutes. Im telling him now to walk in with the intent of showing as much love and compassion as he can, to as many as he can while hes there. I think of the saying that we see posted often that says in other words to Be kind to others, because you never know the battles that they may be facing. God love and bless you all today~
