This was my darling Ollie. He was the boy who introduced me to the rescue world. Ollie was a snap decision to foster as he was about to head to the pound....again. While I know very little about his past I very quickly found out that he was a very damaged boy. I went to pick him up from his foster carer and he wanted to eat Jackson (we didnt know he wasnt kid friendly). I told the rescue coordinator to give me a week, if I couldnt get him to like Jackson we couldnt foster him. Within a week he was Jacksons best friend. But Ollie was terrified of anyone who wasnt immediate family, the result was an extremely aggressive dog. I knew I couldnt let him go, that we could keep him safe, and most importantly happy. So we became his forever home. I searched high and low for a trainer to help Ollie, nobody could. So our sole mission was to give him a happy happy life. He deserved it so much, and was such an awesome boy. Sadly, we lost Ollie 18 months ago when our neighbour decided he didnt want a dog next door. He put his hand over the fence and allowed Ollie to bite him. I had to put Ollies happiness first and having him go to the pound was not an option. He passed away in my arms, surrounded by the love he should have had since he was a baby. I still miss him.
