This weeks speedway personality of the week award goes to the very popular 13M Saloon Racer Murray Guy. Murray has been racing the speedway circuit for more years than Ive had hot dinners and is always very approachable where ever he races. Many will remember the Feb 22nd Earthquake which shattered so many lives in Christchurch, and the tragic loss of Woodfordglen Racer 81c A Grade racer Jo Giles...As a tribute to Jo, Murray Guy tranformed his racecar and travelled the length and breadth of NZ racing the car as #81..including the 2011/12 NZ Super Saloon Champs held in Nelson. Murray is also a regular visitor to Christchurchs Woodfordglen Speedway and Ashburtons Speedway for the Jo Giles Memorial Meeting.. He in forms me that we will be see the 81 Car back in Canterbury for various meetings throughout the 2014/15 season..
