Those of you that knew my Mom and Dad will understand. Im sitting here wrapping presents and giggling remembering how they were when they wrapped. In later years, Mom got very festive when it came to wrapping. Everything under the tree was coordinated with big pretty bows she made herself. Totally unlike her!! When I was younger, I was lucky if it was halfway wrapped with whatever paper she could find at the house. This woman even put old sticky Easter candy with grass stuck to it in my wooden shoes from Holland she used as my stocking one year!! That was my Mom!! Just go with the flow!! Thats also why Dad did all the wrapping. He would sit in his chair with this big lap desk thing and each piece of paper was measured to the exact size and perfectly matched. Corners were almost surgical in the way it all went together! I mean the pattern on the paper even matched up!! Just so you know, Im more like my Mom from my younger years!!! Haha!!! Thank goodness Jake is just as happy with that as a perfectly wrapped gift!
