Thoughts about creating your future . . . Finally the - TopicsExpress

Thoughts about creating your future . . . Finally the anticipated reopening of Westborough Square which was closed for two years due to major renovation. No trace of the old, all new restaurants and an Asian supermarket, Walgreen pharmacy and banks are in place. Business is booming but we have no worries for traffic jam, its only a stones or a block away from where we live. I walk our dog, Ally everyday here. Could be that you are curious about the restaurants, to describe in one word ECLECTIC. We have Bon chon, Paris Banquette, Ngs, Pizza, Goldilocks, Pho Saigon, Five Guys Burgers, Phil’s Cafe, Quickly, Deli etc. This is the kind of future I see in our place, progress and more progress years after year. For awhile I went astray with my topic which is about creating you future, let me steer you back to it (lol). . . “The best years of your life are the ones in which you decide your problems are your own. You do not blame them on your mother, the ecology, or the president. You realize that you control your own destiny. “ Albert Ellis “The best way to predict your future is to create it” Here is a great essay to get you on the right track . . . “The most reliable way to predict the future is to create it. When you take an active role in your own life, things are far more likely to go well for you. It’s easy to blame your troubles on such influences as the weather, the government, the economy, the media or the culture. Yet it can be exceedingly difficult to do anything about those things. Instead, step up and accept responsibility for all the factors that affect your life. When you take responsibility, what you get is control. Even if you didn’t create the situation, look first to yourself to create a positive and successful response to it. Even if the challenges you face are not your fault, begin to treat them as your responsibility and you will begin to have control over them. See your future not as the inevitable result of your past. Visualize your future as the best, most positive, most valuable, most creative response to your present possibilities. Your future can be so much more than a mere extrapolation of your past. Take responsibility, and your future will express the best of who you are.” Since I am past my middle age, and approaching my twilight years, got no choice except to share this my kids and for their kids. You too, these quotes are so profound . . . “The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.” Abraham Lincoln “The future belongs to those who prepare for it today.” Malcolm X “Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past.” George Orwell “A dream is your creative vision for your life in the future. You must break out of your current comfort zone and become comfortable with the unfamiliar and the unknown.” Denis Waitley “Control your own destiny or someone else will.” Jack Welch Cheers! Joegar
