Thoughts for Today- Our Bodies- Part 4 Llike a mother about to give birth, we await with eager expectation for the final redemption of our new glorified bodies. Sometimes it is hard to wait in this rough and tough life, but we hope and wait for it with longings in our spirits. The hope that we are waiting for is not a wishful hope, but a confident expectation to wait to see Jesus face to face. I imagine that you are like how me in that you are waiting to see our Lord and Savior, as well as the lover of our souls, Jesus, face to face. You will be able to withstand His radiant glory, then. What an incomprehensible moment that will last for eternity, all because of His great love for you and me. 2 Corinthians 5:5 says, “Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.” It is a bummer after we work so hard in our jobs that sometimes that bookkeeping forgets to pay us by direct deposit, or however we are paid. This has happened to me a couple of times when I didnt receive a direct deposit, and it is no fun with me having to rob Peter to pay Paul until things were straightened out. But, according to this verse, Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. Hallelujah. If we are truly found in Christ, we have a direct deposit from the Spirit, guaranteeing the wondrous splendor of home.
