Thumbs down to MARK BURT owner/boss at BREAKERS CAFE & BAR NAPIER after Me & my family dined there yesterday and was served raw chicken. I kindly explained to the waiter who took it back and within less than a minute she returned with the same plate with the same raw chicken telling me they glaze the chicken before cooking it. It being truly raw I again explained to the staff it was still raw only to be rudely approached by Mark Burt the boss who told me no its not we checked it, I then asked him to try it, he refused so I kindly asked for a refund only for him to be rude and disrespectful and tell me yeah you can have a refund but dont ever come back, we dont have people like you in here. (Witnessed and heard by other patrons dining there). That statement there I felt was really uncalled for and discriminating and could have been handled better and in a more professional manner. I wasnt asking for much just a cooked chicken lols but was instead spoken to rudely and disrespectfully by the boss of all people. Dont get me wrong, the waiters there are awesome and have exceptional customer service but the boss/owner on the other hand was by far the worst customer service I have ever come across in my life. I felt that he was not only setting a bad example for his staff but also had an appalling and unprofessional attitude towards me as a paying regular customer that I refuse to go back and spend another dollar there, from now on I will stick to Hastings Breakers where they have great & friendly customer service and treat people with respect!!!
