Thus morning, very early, an odd and strange sound echoed round amongst the trees & local woods & gardens. So amazed by the strangeness - I went out into garden (04.30 BST), to investigate. Nothing...just the normal sounds of birds stirring - as I started to go back indoors after going around the garden, there came a call, FGS...it sounded like a demented cockerel crossed with a hyeana! I stood there scanning the trees, what type of bird? Again that truly raucous sound, then Dennis-Dawg, came barrelling out of the cottage next door, whole body in alert mode. The strange call came.again, the dog started to bark, I silenced him with a word or two, indicated he should go back to his basket. That bird sort of reminded me of the Houses of Parliament.
