Time for another unsolicited movie review. This time its about A Field in England. 80% of my friends will flipping ***hate*** this movie, but if you can stick with it until the end and youre into balls-out (not literally) wild trippiness, it really pays off. Imagine a 60s drug movie set in the 17th century but made with contemporary eyes. A worthy watch for the black & white photography alone which is a genuine beauty. Potheads and theatre people (one and the same?) may also dig on this. A very heavy Godot and Ionesco vibe. And mushrooms, dude!! Or uh shrooms, if you will. Galore!! I watched this on the free Amazon Prime Instant Streaming service, which is basically like the second time Ive found anything good on there that Netflix doesnt have. Shrooms, dude!!!
