Time to start todays fire. Before the sun passes the hills horizons. Shadowed in a corner of tall oak, north slope of the mountain. Mosses tell all. Ice from this mornings river fog and mountain dew clings to the grass blades untouched by the sun. Cold bite hangs in the air. The bright sun fools you every time you look out the window. Come out to play! No not in three layers of clothes and no snow! Cold needs snow. Heat needs sun. Basic rules. So what do you do in this? Come out. I go out. I lose my core heat in no time. Return home. And wait to warm up. So I dont come out to play. Any way it is time to start the fires for today. One in the kitchen. One in the main room. Then what. Oh yes my classes start tomarrow.
