Tired of reading and hearing how honey is bad for you cause well it is not . I dont agree with the vegan view on how honey is slavery to bees - I feel that is taking it too much to an extreme level seriously. Honey has many benefits and it is a natural resource which does not come from the bees it is created by them and nobody is forcing them to create it either they just do it. Well my statement is not against extremist vegans it is towards those who state honey is bad for you without any real scientific nutritional backing . In short honey is only bad for you if : You are overweight, diabetic and struggle with dietary load of fructose and carbs Benefits of honey : Unrefined honey contains an abundance of various antioxidants that can have major implications for health. In general, antioxidants in the diet are associated with improved health and lower risk of disease. Also : Honey raises blood sugar less than dextrose (glucose) and sucrose (glucose and fructose). It still raises blood sugar, just not as much. Honey reduces C-Reactive Protein (CRP) – a marker of inflammation. Honey lowers LDL cholesterol, blood triglycerides and raises HDL cholesterol. Honey also lowers Homocysteine, another blood marker associated with disease. With everything there is good and bad however it all depends on moderation and who is consuming it. Honey is an essential for many home remedies and never heard of anyone dying from it or getting a sickness or disease from it . Bees are not tortured or beating or even threatened to produce it and hell they live extremely shots lives doing naturally the same in the care of a beekeepers as they would if totally free. Will never be 100% vegan cause am rational and not an extremist is why am against Peta I do not believe in being pet free which is one of their main goals that pets should not be pets- no ownership and this is coming from an organization who is responsible for killing hundreds of dogs and cats each year ...
