To ALL you... men and women over the age of +50 years .... TO- day on this Sabbath - I met a gentleman in Menards parking lot @ 10 AM and proceeded to dicker with him on ALL my PRECIOUS vinyl records. ALL almost 300 of them...sniff- sniff dab away a tear or two... Since WE ( Kate) sold my stereo and turntable @ a garage sale a few years ago... They have been collecting dust and a yearning to be played again... But I couldnt turn back the clock... I decided to sell them on Craigslist... and found a COLLECTOR who would give them a good home and I pocketed a little KKaching... (north of $200) and still have the memories and you tube to hear them again. The lesson here is to think of letting go and making room for new! Thanks to my wife and Good Bye to the Beatles - White Album, Dave Brubeck @ Carniage (sp)Hall, Waylon Jennings, Hot Tuna, The Band, Grateful Dead, The Eagles, CCR, Chicago, Alberta Hunter, Ramsey Lewis.... God Bless them - record collectors !
