To: Clive Jefferson, British National Party Treasurer From: Mike Whitby, former Liverpool Organiser and North West Regional Organiser Date: 11th October 2014 Dear Clive, Re: £525 loan It would appear that you have betrayed a confidence, because some very nasty things are being said about me, and some of the people saying it are not only inaccurate, but they are evil. I have no intention of sinking to the level of such people, but I will now set the record straight. You will recall that a couple of years ago, I was unemployed and being evicted from my home and I asked you if I could borrow £525 from the party, towards a deposit to rent a house. You contacted me and said that you would arrange it, and I duly received the money through the post, in a registered envelope. At that time, I assumed that, as the party Treasurer, you were arranging it through the party, but later you seemed to imply that you, personally, had loaned me that money, without actually saying it in so many words. Also, I did not receive a letter from the party to indicate that there was a loan amount outstanding to me. A long time later, I had still not been able to repay the loan; I wrote to you and apologised, and promised I would pay you back as quickly as I could, and I thanked you for your patience. Once again, I did not receive a reply, so I spoke to you at our next meeting – in which we were both very busy and short of time, and I reiterated what I had said in my letter. And, your response was; “Mike, don’t worry, as you don’t owe ME a penny.” I didn’t really understand what you meant by that, except to assume you meant that the party had loaned me the money and not YOU. We didn’t have time to discuss it and I simply said; “Thanks Clive, but whether I owe the money to you, or to the party, please rest assured that I will repay every penny of it, as soon as I can.” I am a proud man and I didn’t like to ask the party for a loan. But, given the fact that I and my family had suffered great hardship, as a result of me representing the party for years – including having our home smashed up by the police and me being imprisoned on five separate occasions, and without receiving ANY support from the party; was it unreasonable for me to ask the party to loan me such a small amount of money? I have never received, nor wanted, any payment for work I’ve done for the party, despite the fact that several people were being paid wages, to do the same kind of work that I was doing for nothing. Apart from that LOAN, the only money I have ever received from the party is the reimbursement of fuel money, and the receipts were always provided. So, the reimbursement was paid by the taxman and not the members. Also, that happened while I’ve been unemployed and barely able to eat, never mind spend money to help the party. Whilst I was living on £47 a-week dole money, how on earth could I spend money on the party, and not be reimbursed? Regardless of what you think of me, I now consider you and Adam to be unworthy of holding high positions in the BNP, and the sooner the members discover that fact, the better off they will be. Meanwhile, I will honour my agreement to repay every penny of the £525 that I borrowed, as I will not betray my principles just because I have legitimately borrowed some money. Nobody buys my support, or my silence. Despite my personal circumstances, it never stopped me doing as much as I could for the party and for the Cause. However, you and I now find ourselves on opposite sides of the fence – because I have based my decision upon facts and not self-interest, unlike some. And, I am supporting the only ‘side’ that has offered any sort of explanation as to what happened when our Chairman was ousted from his position and replaced by an ACTING Chairman, without a mandate from the membership; which was in contradiction to the party’s constitution. It would appear that the current leadership doesn’t give a damn what the members think. But, let me be very clear about this; I did not take this stance out of any personal friendship or ill will towards anyone. Until a few months ago, I considered you, Adam, Simon and Nick to be my friends as well as my colleagues, and I did not favour any of you more than anyone else; although, I could never have said the same for some of your current hierarchy colleagues, as some of them should have been expelled from the party years ago, for using the party to further their own interests. I took this stance because you and Adam have flatly refused to offer ANY explanation for your combined action to usurp the party leadership, whereas Nick has provided copious amounts of information and has asked many questions of this current leadership, without receiving any answers. By comparison, you and Adam have offered no information whatsoever, apart from a contrived double interview session, in which you both scratch each other’s back. This begs the questions of why weren’t you interviewed by someone with an impartial standpoint? Why did you still refuse to provide answers to the legitimate questions that many of us have been asking, for months? What justification do you have for instructing the ACTING North West Regional Organiser, Gary Tumulty, to remove me from my position as Liverpool Organiser? Have you forgotten that you had made up your mind to sack him, Gary Tumulty because, amongst many other reasons, he purposely stopped NW members from going to our only target ward, in Pendle, to help Brian Parker get re-elected? Mr Tumulty took that action whilst several of us were travelling round trips of 200 miles at a time and putting in 30 hours a week, for ages. Also, I have had to defend that man, for years, because he constantly upsets the NW members. And now that low-life repays my generosity by attempting to destroy my character on Facebook. What justification do you have for expelling me from the party? As you know very well that the reasons cited are lies? All I have done is convey the facts to the NW membership – that is the responsibility of the area organiser; whereas you would rather keep them like mushrooms – in the dark and fed on crap! You have also come up with an unlawful EXCUSE to attempt to stop me representing Joe Finnie in his Expulsion Appeal, because you are terrified that the members will find out about the disgraceful things that you have allowed certain Scottish members to get away with. Their ALLEGED criminal actions have been attested to by no less than six witnesses, who have all provided documentary evidence. The things that Adam’s Scottish friends are ALLEGED to have done could destroy both you and Adam, and could even destroy the party. And, instead of expelling the scum, you have left them alone, you have expelled the whistle-blowers (me and Joe) and you have refused to deal with Joe Finnie’s appeal. I find your behaviour contemptible, but frankly, I am pleased to have discovered the true nature of you people. And, as much as I sympathise with the members, for the plight that awaits them when the crap hits the fan, many of whom are totally honourable, trustworthy and good people; I no longer have any respect for you, Adam Walker, Chris Vanns (aka Chris Burnley), Charlie Wythe, Chris Barnett or Patrick Harrington, as you are all the type of self-serving individuals that nationalism could do without. Yours most sincerely Mike Whitby
