To God be the glory: APPRECIATION The opportunity given to me by my mentor and leader, the then Governor of Ekiti State, Dr John Kayode Fayemi to serve as the Pioneer Chairman of Ajoni LCDA will remain evergreen, this has nothing to do with the glamour added to the office but the opportunity to serve our people, opportunity to fashion out direction towards economic recovery and the opportunity to provide a developmental roadmap for my immediate constituent. Within the first week of our administration, the roadmap for the Council was provided, we set up a domain to host our website to interact with the outside world. By the special grace of God, our administration provided a befitting administrative block within two months and was duly commissioned by His Excellency, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi to the glory of God and benefit of mankind. Our administration enjoyed the support of all the Oriades, towns and communities that made up Ajoni, no wonder they volunteered to renovate a building for the take off of Ajoni Skill Acquisition Center, to the glory of God, the center was completed within two months and equipment were provided via the support from Center for Women Development and Ekiti State Ministry of Women Affairs. In our quest for economy revamp, we came up with a blueprint on Ajoni Trans Commercial Park which by the grace of God was flagged off. Though, our developmental partners dragged footed looking at the likely disposition of the incoming now current government to the creation of the LCDA. That has become a living vision for our people. Equally we took step towards Cocoa revamp whereby we were able to secured partnership with a Chicago based Cocoa farmer, this was facilitated by the Ministry of Agric, Ekiti State. To the glory of God, the Cocoa farm is to be situated at Ayebode Ekiti where the Kabiyesi has ceeded a 300 hectars of land for the take off. Vision for the youths was made paramount being a youth myself, we developed a blueprint for the youth development and Value Re-armament. The Ajoni Youth Development Foundation became an offshoot of our roadmap. This is to give support to all our indigent youth in the area of education, skill acquisition and securing soft loan for SMES. The machinery for this had already been set in motion, the Chairman of the foundation had already been appointed (Engr. Olubunmi Obembe). Also, our administration focuses on Youth Value re-armament, this we were unable to start considering the limited time available to us. Our administration attracted sons and daughters of Ajoni both home and abroad who are willing to contribute their own quota to the development of the Council. Our focus is on how community can take ownership of government, our vision is geared towards human capital development. We might no longer be there but the vision is there to speak. I thank all the Kabiyesis in Ajoni for their royal support, I thank Otunba Dapo Adelusi, Chief Bode Ibitoye and other members of Committee on Ajoni creation, special thanks goes to Sir Remi Omotoso who made himself available to guide our administration, Sir Femi Aribisala would not be forgotten, the Ajoni sons and daughters in the United Kingdom under the leadership of High Chief Tejumola Oso for their timely advise, I appreciate Mrs Bukola Teniola, Engr.
