To all my friends, fb friends and Whanau (family) have a great Christmas holiday. I use to be very critical of truckies, until I headed up to Townsville in a truck, and what an eye opener. The amount of idiot car drivers who cut in front of the trucks was unbelievable. We had idiots who passed the trucks going up a hill at the correct speed of 100kms, and half way up the hill they slowed down to 80kms, which made the truck driver go through his gear change to slow down, thus losing his reves. and slowing the truck right down, especially when carrying two trailers fully loaded. We then had idiots not moving over to the slow lane in a 100 kms area to let the trucks pass. Idiots who could not make up their minds what lane they wanted to be in. Now dont get me wrong there are a lot of idiot truck drivers, we had one on his cell phone. But to be fair I do feel sorry for them. Its funny listening to them on the RT, and they certainly put it out there about idiot car drivers. When you are on the motorway and there is a dirty big truck up your back bumper, its not to scare you, its to let you know that this is a 100kms area and you either speed up or get of the f%#@&**& the road,it is easier for you to get out of they way, than it is a truck driver, to do so would end up jack knifing his truck, whilst trying to break, or smash into you, and your dead because of your stupidity. So next time a truck is traveling the legal road limit and your not, indicate and move over to let him pass. This is what I saw, this was my adventure.
