To believe that free will is an illusion ultimately results in us unwilling to take responsibility for our actions. Society would completely fall into chaos if we lived like we truly believed that our actions are predestined from birth. With this belief, we become no longer responsible for evil, but it must have been thrust upon us by God, making us only wretched puppets in a cruel and elaborate script.
