To everyone who watched Return To Zero this evening, I just want - TopicsExpress

To everyone who watched Return To Zero this evening, I just want to take this moment to thank you for taking the time to watch it. I know that the film has brought up a lot of emotions for people and that can be difficult depending on where you all are on your grief journeys. Whether you loved the film or not, I think it is important for us all to remember that this was one story out of millions. It might not have been your story but it was someone elses and each of our stories matter. As hard as these stories are to tell, it is so important that we speak about them. The ugly parts, the devastating parts and the beautiful parts. I am thankful that Return To Zero did not sugarcoat the grief experience, otherwise what is the point of trying to break the silence if we cannot be honest about all the different parts of our grief journey? I am thankful that I was able to watch this film when I visited LA even though it triggered many painful and beautiful memories for me. I am grateful for all of those memories that came flooding back, for my memory has faded and all of those memories were about my son and that is all I knew and had when he was here. If I could, I would go back to that time. I would experience all that heavy grief again, if it just meant that I could hold him one more time. Regardless of whether people love the film or not, it has for-filled its purpose already. It has started conversations and this is just the beginning. What a ground-breaking day this has been for our community. Your grief journey is yours and yours alone. You can make whatever you choose to make of it. I wish you all deep peace this evening as we step forward into a more hopeful future together. With love and sincere gratitude, CarlyMarie
