Toad in a bucket... amazing how plastic rubbish threatens just one animal. Today while walking the dunes I came across this Natterjack Toad trapped in a white plastic bucket. The bucket had been blown up into the dunes, got partially buried and held rain water. Toads being toads it jumped in but couldnt get out. At first I thought it was dead but when I put my hand in, it moved. I then returned it to a burrow near the ponds in Derrynane Sand dunes.
