Today I had the most intriguing and unsettling experience – had to take a taxi – very pleasant driver who I engaged in conversation as I usually do as I’ve met some fascinating people and heard some amazing stories. He told me he was a REFUGEE from JERUSALEM – Aha. Interesting beginning. He went on to explain that his family were Palestinians who had had a farm in a village about 6 kilometres from Nazareth, had been there for generations, but the Zionists had gone in and exterminated everyone in the village in 1948. His parents had walked to Jerusalem with him and his 2 siblings, walked, walked, it took them a very long time, months, until they finally reached Jerusalem. (Just looked up the distance - 102.08 km. This distance is equal to 63.43 miles, and 55.08 nautical miles. I think Mary and Joseph did it faster, and Mary was decidedly pregnant.) Life for Arabs in Israel is terribly hard, even now. They are treated like 5th or 6th class citizens, with no rights at all. Zionists kill Arabs all the time. Boys as young as 12 are thrown into jail for LIFE on the slightest pretext. He went on to tell me how the Arabs had beautiful homes before, land that they had cultivated for generations, but the Zionists stole it all. Took their homes, stole their land, drove them out. I said I thought the Arabs in Israel were treated very well and had the same freedom as anyone else. He told me I was wrong. I asked why they don’t leave if it’s so bad, they seemed to want to stay in Israel. “No, ” he explained, “they’re not free to leave. The Zionists kill them if they try to leave.” I asked about the Arabs who are members of the Knesset, only to be told that this is just propaganda put out by the Zionists. It is not true. I mustn’t believe what I read in the press. The media are all owned and controlled by the Jews and print lies to fool the world. They pretend Israel is a democracy. Such a lie! Israel is not a democracy! Of course ”the Zionists started every war, including this last one where they tried to kill all the people in Gaza...” Remember, this is all in a pleasant conversation, he was explaining the facts to this dumb Australian woman, told me the difference between the Druze and other Arabs, but the Druze really hate the Zionists too, and so forth. (I wasn’t going to get him mad at me for anything, besides, I wanted to hear his point of view – he claimed that all the information he was passing on to me he got from his family and friends who were still “trapped in Jerusalem”.) And so I got a lot of information from him – including the fact that the Zionists don’t know it but the PALESTINIANS SAVED THEM... (?) Then he told me in confidence as we reached my destination, because I am such a “lovely lady”, and he enjoyed our conversation so much, that I shouldn’t worry because THERE IS A BIG MASSACRE COMING! IN A YEAR OR TWO THE JEWS ALL AROUND THE WORLD WILL BE MASSACRED. IT IS ALL PLANNED! Then he smiled and wished me a lovely day as he helped me out of the car. .
