Today... I spoke at an event and venue that I had no idea would impact me the way it has. The multi-cultural art center that I spoke at today had so much of honor for my uncle Claude Underwood, Jr. that his picture is painted in a muriel on the outside of the building. My uncle Claude helped organized the march in Shreveport with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., my uncle Claude gave leadership to the Shreveport Chapter of the NAACP, my uncle Claude served as a Shreveport City Councilman until his car accident which subsequently led to his death... It really hit home today, as I spoke for a group of his friends... A group that honors him & his wife, Mrs. Mariah Underwood (my moms eldest sister). I told you all of those things about my uncle Claude but most of all he was a Man of God and always willing to help whomever he could!!!! His life and legacy lives on.... Hes the man in the grey suit and tge grey hair which represents wisdom!!! Me and the NAACP President of the Shreveport Chapter took a picture with him today........
