Today NYCLA kicks off a two-day workshop in our facilitative, competency-based (FCB) coaching model. This job-embedded coaching model is anchored in clear, behavior-based standards linked to student outcomes. We welcome participants from Austin (TX), Birmingham (AL), Greece (NY) and from Innovative Schools (DE). They will develop and strengthen their capacities in the following areas and will be empowered to execute them in their districts: assess and respond to diverse leadership development needs; collaborate with their school leaders to set learning goals and develop strategies that support continuous learning, leading to greater job satisfaction; and help their school leaders develop practical improvement plans that maximize effectiveness.
