Today, an old asian man with a knee injury came in and asked to be seated. I took him to a table, but instantly asked if he could be sat at the table all the way in the corner. I dont want anyone to touch my knee. I sat him down and he kept thanking me, and he explained why he needed to protect his knee. I had to get surgery done on my knee, I was shot in the leg. Instantly my face lit up. No way! I was shot in the leg too. Then he told me the story of how his friends got too drunk one time and started firing at each others feet to scare one another. The thought of this old Asian man screwing around with his best friends legitimately had me laughing out loud. Then he asked me how I got shot in the leg. I told him it was just some hunting accident back in my home town. Yeah, my story really isnt all that exciting. Then lets make one up right now. So we came up with a story that involves me jumping in front of my friend to take the bullet for him, and me fingering my own leg to get the bullet out. I swear, conversations like these make it feel like Im not even going in to work.
