Today has been spent almost entirely on the road and meeting with the folks putting a wonderful new venture together just outside of Washington DC. While we cant drop details just yet, we are grateful to have been chosen as the roaster whose coffee will be represented in this business. Even more exciting to us was hearing that a big part of the decision to go with LRC is our work to draw attention to the underdogs in coffee versus focusing in on simply the best all the time. It honors us to know that people are paying attention when we say that at least some change will have to come from the bottom up if our industry wants real change to occur that actually builds the lives of people at origin. It excites us even more to know that this new partner will be looking to do the same in their local community. Stay tuned, NoVA!!!
